FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal reports that the Giants are making a "strong push"
to acquire Cole Hamels from the Phillies.
Rosenthal notes that the Giants have $50 million coming off the payroll at the end of the season, so adding
Hamels wouldn't break the bank. The Giants' biggest competition might be the
division rival Dodgers, though the Rangers, Yankees, Cubs, Diamondbacks, and
Astros have also been mentioned as possibilities.
