[CADILLAC x NAUL Collaboration]
Introducing ‘The Sound of Young America, Motown’, an exhibit that Cadillac
and artist ‘Naul’ will showcase together.
Motown is shortened word for ‘Motor Town’, a nickname for Detroit, the
center of the automotive industry in the US and birthplace of Cadillac. In
1950s, the automotive industry underwent a period of revival and (Motown) also
represents the free and romantic culture of young African
American laborers who moved to work in Detroit.
Socially, riots continued to oppose racism but young African Americans
enjoyed love and romance through music.
At Cadillac House Seoul, you can experience artist Naul’s reinterpretation
of Motown and his personal collection of over 48 Motown LPs as well as
countless hit songs of musicians who trenscend generations from 1960~1990s.
Meet the special exhibit where you can experience the feeling of that era at
Cadillac House Seoul
