馬刺上季回顧 -- Patty Mills

This year was a bounce back season for one Patty Mills. After
only playing 51 games in 2014-15 due to shoulder surgery,
Mills led the San Antonio Spurs this year in regular season
games played (81). It was a testament to his work ethic and
drive to be on the court when the team needed him most, and
the Spurs did find themselves in need of Mills’ services
plenty of times.
上季是Patty Mills觸底反彈的一年。在經歷只出賽51場的2014-15賽季
之後，這季他是馬刺出賽最多的球員(81場)。這是場對Patty Mills的
考驗，看他能否在球隊最需要他的時候，拿出他的態度和場上表現，
而馬刺也發現很多時候他們會需要Mills的戰力。
The Spurs’ use of Mills was more than evident through his
career high of 20.5 minutes per game this season. In his
usual role of energetic guard support off the bench, Mills
averaged 8.5 points per game and 2.8 assists per game (career
high) with 0.9 turnovers. His career best in assist-to-turnover
ratio was huge in helping San Antonio stay in the top four of
the league in lowest average turnovers per game.
馬刺更加倚重Mills這件事，體現在他這季上場時間來到生涯新高的20.5
分鐘。他仍然是那個板凳出發的活力後衛，這季平均8.5分、2.8次助攻
(生涯新高) 和0.9次失誤。他打出生涯新高的助攻失誤比，也大大幫助了

As reliable cog in the offensive wheel of the Spurs, Mills
more than fulfilled his role during the regular season by
knocking down 123 three-pointers on 38.4 percent shooting
from deep. Even off the pine, he was second on the team in
total three-pointers made and second in the NBA for three
-pointers made off the bench.
身為馬刺進攻可靠的一環，Mills表現超出他分內的量了：單季投進123
季三分、三分命中率達38.4%。就算放大檢視，他也是投進了全隊第二多
的三分球，同時也是全NBA替補投進第二多三分球的球員。
In comparison to the 2014-15 season, Mills looked to have
found comfort and rhythm on the offensive side of the floor,
which was evident in his 26 times scoring double-digits. He
hit a season high in points twice, scoring 22 points against
the Los Angeles Lakers and Orlando Magic. In both games, he
shot an identical 3-for-4 from beyond the arc.
相比2014-15賽季，Mills這季在場上有找到進攻端的節奏和感覺，從他
這季26次上雙就一目瞭然。他還曾經拿過兩次個人單季新高的22分，一

Not only did Mills fulfill is offensive duties for the black
and silver, but he stepped into his own a defender as well.
He posted 59 steals (second-highest of career) and finished
the regular season with a defensive rating of 96.8.

After a stellar season for the Australian-born player in his
7th year, the playoffs were a slightly different story. Mills
averaged 6.6 points per game on 36 percent shooting from the
three-point line in 16.7 minutes. While the decrease in minutes
was a factor in the decrease in production, it just seemed like
Mills wasn’t able to find ways to impact games as he had done
previously.
雖然澳洲王在生涯的第七個球季的表現很亮眼，季後賽的表現似乎就沒

In the series against the Oklahoma City Thunder, Mills shot
3-of-13 from deep with four turnovers. In Game 2 of the series,
he put together a 2-of-9 shooting night from inside the arc and
1-for-6 shooting from outside the arc in 21 minutes.
在跟雷霆對抗的系列戰裡，Mills三分僅3-13、並有四次失誤。第二場他
上場21分鐘，投籃2-9，而且三分僅1-6。
In the end, Mills still helped the Spurs to a 67-15 record and
a chance to contend for another championship. If a letter grade
was being applied to his overall performance this season, he
earned a B+. Mills is the consummate teammate, who brings his
tools to work everyday and doesn’t shy away from his expectations.
With his future set in the Alamo City for the foreseeable future,
it’s safe to say that Mills can and should only continue to grow
and an elite role player in the league.
不論如何，Mills還是幫助馬刺拿下67-15的戰績而且有機會能夠問鼎冠軍。
如果要為他整季表現作評分，我會給他B+。Mills是一個完美的隊友，他每
天盡全力打球，並且樂於回應對他的期待。之後在阿拉莫城的日子裡，我可
以很有把握地說，他有能力並且很有機會能夠成長成一個出色的綠葉球員。
