Baker died on 13 August 2016, after a long illness. He was 81 at the time of
his death.He had been invited to attend the premiere of Star Wars: The
Force Awakens in Los Angeles in December 2015, but was too ill to travel to
the US.Followng the UK premiere of the film he did meet George Lucas
again in Manchester.
