有人在reddit上貼文，Valve 9/2(美國時間) 在美國智財局註冊了Steam Frame這個商標

美國智財局Steam Frame註冊資訊

STEAM FRAME™ trademark registration is intended to cover the categories of
computer game consoles for recreational game playing; video game consoles;
video game accessories, namely, controllers for video games


STEAM FRAME™ trademark registration is intended to cover the categories of
computer hardware; computer networking hardware; computer peripherals;
computer hardware and computer software for the reproduction, processing, and
streaming of audio, video, data, text, and multimedia content.

從上述註冊類別不難看出，這將是Steam新一代的遊戲用硬體，但實際會是何種型態則
引起許多猜測

但有reddit網友打趣道，這是繼Steam Index (VR headset)、Steam Deck(掌機)後的
「第三個」遊戲硬體，所以有可能最後根本不會上市
