Apple罕見收購家庭監控專利組合

據USPTO轉讓資料得知，Apple在2018年12月執行一件與家庭監控系統相關的專利轉讓申請
，從Lighthouse AI公司手中取得8項專利。
由於，Lighthouse AI在競爭激烈的家用相機市場未能獲得認同，宣佈於去年(2018)年底
關閉。該公司曾於2018年2月推出了其首款產品，即具有一些人工智慧（AI）功能的安全
攝像頭。
該相機專利組合，包括一些面部識別技術，可以隨著時間的推移識別家中熟悉的面孔。然
而，由於299美元的高售價和每月訂閱費一些人工智能功能的費用，使得該產品處於昂貴
而失去市場認同的悲劇。
以下是Apple收購的八項專利。

推測，Apple購買Lighthouse AI公司手中取得8項專利，可能用於智慧家庭的產品布局。
Apple希望能藉由收購專利組合來提高對亞馬遜或谷歌的市場競爭力。
3.心得/評論：
智慧家庭市場兩大巨頭依然是Google與Amazon，而蘋果近年也積極進入這個市場，除了延
攬Otto創辦人Jadallah以外，日前又收購了不少專利，普遍認為蘋果將會整合包括
HomeKit等的服務以強攻智慧家庭市場。
