Feb 6 (Reuters) - Trump administration officials are exploring opening an
antitrust investigation into U.S. homebuilders as the White House ramps up
efforts to address the housing affordability crisis in the country, Bloomberg
News reported on Friday.
2月6日（路透）—彭博新聞週五報導，川普政府官員正評估是否對美國住宅建商展開反壟
斷調查，此舉是白宮加大力度因應全國住房可負擔性危機的一環。

A White House representative referred Reuters request for comment to the
Department of Justice. The DOJ did not immediately respond to the request.
一名白宮代表將路透社的置評請求轉交給司法部（DOJ），司法部並未立即回應。

One of the possible concerns is the exchange of information through a
homebuilder's association called Leading Builders of America, which could be
used to limit housing supply or coordinate pricing, people familiar with the
discussions told Bloomberg News.
知情人士向彭博新聞表示，其中一項潛在疑慮是，透過名為「美國領先建商協會（
Leading Builders of America）」的建商組織進行資訊交換，可能被用來限制住房供給
或協調房價。

Homebuilders D.R. Horton (DHI.N), Lennar (LEN.N), PulteGroup (PHM.N), and Toll
 Brothers (TOL.N), who are some of the key members of the association, did not
 immediately respond to Reuters requests for comment. The Leading Builders of
America also did not immediately respond to Reuters request.
該協會的重要成員，包括D.R. Horton、Lennar、PulteGroup 及 Toll Brothers，均未立
即回應路透社的置評請求；美國領先建商協會本身亦未立即回應。

The Department of Justice could launch the inquiry in the next few weeks,
though no final decision has been made, the people said, according to the
report.
報導引述消息人士指出，司法部可能在未來數週內啟動調查，但尚未做出最終決定。

The reported move comes days after a report of U.S. homebuilders working on a
proposal to develop nearly a million "Trump Homes", at a time when U.S.
consumers continue to face affordability challenges in an inflationary macro
environment, dampening home sales across the country.
此一動向發生在另一則報導曝光數日後，該報導指出美國建商正研擬興建近百萬戶「川普
住宅（Trump Homes）」的計畫；而在通膨宏觀環境下，美國消費者仍面臨購屋負擔壓力
，導致全國房市銷售降溫。

只是
白宮一方面想要透過反壟斷逼建商降價蓋更多房
另一方面極其嚴厲的移民政策卻正在抽乾建築業的血液

如果房價降不下來
川普政府可以說
「不是我的移民政策害的，是因為這些大建商私下串通、囤地、操縱價格」
這是一種政治避險

如果建商避免司法部查水表而讓利給政府
倒楣的就是股東了
