[請益] SSD裝XP TRIM的問題--美光MX200

[nexus9 (apple sucks)]

有台老筆電是06年出的華碩M9J，硬碟只能接IDE，BIOS也沒有AHCI選項
想把硬碟改成SSD，已經準備買msata轉IDE接頭來裝，
目前已經篩選到剩兩個選擇，
一個就是爬文大家都說SSD裝XP唯一選擇的Intel 530 msata 120GB
網路上目前還買的到，他有專用的toolbox可以定時做TRIM
另一個就是美光的MX200 250GB，有看到M01有網友貼了一段描述

special feature called Active Garbage Collection. Active Garbage

by freeing up memory sectors that are no longer in use. Garbage
collection is part of the SSD itself and thus not dependent on your
computer’s operating system. Since garbage collection is part of the SSD’s
firmware, it works regardless of which operating and filing systems
your computer is using.

想請問各位前輩，這是意味著如果用MX200裝了XP，也可以不用管TRIM的問題了嗎？
還是仍然需要安裝第三方軟體定期做TRIM？
