1. 自介： We have run this group for 6 months, and 2 of our members have switched their career trajectory, so we are recruiting 1-2 more people. The members of this study group have an average English level of TOEIC 900+, TOFEL 100+, and IELTS 7+.
Presentation and debate are good ways to improve speaking skills. We have covered some topics such as job interviews, high schools, CVS, and sometimes we use case study or board games to generate discussions.

2. 對象：全程都會以英文進行，歡迎任何能用英文講3-5分鐘，並且對辯論與討論時事有興趣的朋友們。對英文學術發表有興趣的學生也可以在討論群組創[寫作組]。
3. 目標：為了增進上台發表的表達力，本讀書會將主打演講和辯論。
Initiatives: improve English speaking skills through presentation, debate, and
other's feedback.
4. 原因：
有兩位優秀的成員將進修與到國外工作，因此開放兩位名額，期待新血加入。

5. 地點：La Bon （市政府站4號）
6. 時間：Thu. 19:30-21:30

8. 範圍：
首次主題： How to Ace a Job Interview (the STAR method)
What are the secrets of answering questions with clarity and persuade the inte
rviewers that you have considered every aspect? Try the STAR method which is t
he initials of Situation, Target, Actions, and Results. The speaker will share
how he uses the STAR method to answer difficult questions from interviewers.
辯論主題：Should Uber Be Legalized in Taiwan
Each person will be assigned to the affirmative or the negative team, and each
team will discuss the strategies of persuading the other side and the joudge.
9. 人數限制：目前8人為限

Rules:
1. Show up; *3 times absence makes you disqualified.
2. Preparation: Familiarize with the topic/speech by reading related material
3. Be willing to discuss various topics from case study, news, social issues (such as
abortion and pension), science, job interviews, books, social media, and many more.
