幫同學看作文發現很多同學transition word會用錯，大部分是因為太想要
每個句子開頭都放轉折詞，但沒有考慮到上下文，因此忽略了原本的意義以
及用法。
以下我們舉furthermore這個例子。
先看同學寫的一個段落：TPO15整合寫作第一論點。
First of all, the passage proposes that building the national
fence can prevent the spread of the toad. But the professor argues
that the national fence could not stop the cane toad spread.
Furthermore, the fence cannot stop the young toad and the toad
eggs. They will still move to another area through the water.
同學可以先想想看這裡放furthermore有什麼問題，並想一下用什麼替換會
比較好？
想好了之後，我們先看furthermore字典給的定義
learners dictionary: in addition to what has been said :moreover—
used to introduce a statement that supports or adds to a previous
statement
Merriam-Webster: in addition to what precedes:BESIDES
再看幾個字典例句：
She always arrives on time;furthermore, her work is always
excellent.
她上班都很準時; 此外，工作能力也很傑出。
Thehouseisbeautiful. Furthermore, it's in agreatlocation.
這棟房子很漂亮。而且位置還很好。
從以上的定義以及例句我們可以看出，Furthermore是要用在講述「另一件
事」，是要帶出第二件事情，如果仍在敘述同一件事，就不應該使用
Furthermore.
上面同學作文是說：
教授主張閱讀提到的柵欄是無法阻擋cane toad的。此外，那個柵欄無法阻
擋小隻的蟾蜍或蟾蜍卵擴散。
很明顯的，前後兩句「並不是完全不同的事」，也不是新的概念。第二句其
實是在更具體解釋第一句的原因，所以比較適合的轉折詞可以是 This is
because(To be more specific,) the fence cannot stop the young toad
and the toad eggs.
寫作時在句子之間放transition word是很好的，幫助讀者閱讀，提示讀者
接下來文章的方向，但是放之前請先想一下是否符合用法，不然其實會更干
擾讀者，適得其反喔。
