很抱歉 要跟版主說
這樣絕對是錯誤的分析方法
and 是連結詞沒有錯
是屬於Coordinating Conjunctions的成員之一
(全體成員七位，組成FANBOYS:
for, and, nor, but, or, yet, so )
Coordinating Conjunctions
最重要的其中一個功能
就是可以連結兩個獨立子句(Independent Clauses)
而所謂的獨立子句 就是需要一個主詞 一個動詞
那為什麼題目的and後面
馬上接了一個動詞 apologize ?
因為主詞被省略
而只有前面獨立子句的主詞
跟後面另一句的主詞 “相同"
就會被省略
所以這個句子對等的元素是
We regret .... and we apologize ...
這不是考點 也不能用此方法判斷答案
而回到版主的分析
你and 前面的括號
是在第一句的主要動詞後面
而你and後面的括號
卻直接在and後面
所以變成
we regret () and () this
請問這樣有對等嗎？？？
如果要對等
也至少要把 this may have caused
直接放到and 後面
所以可以說 你自己的分析
打了自己臉ＸＤ
BTW, this may... 前面省略了which
指代inconvenience
對於有興趣的版友
句子裡面的元素
要有秩序的排放再一起
這個法則稱為
Parallel Structure
這是一個可以讓自己的句子
更美的方法ＸＤ
舉例
I like eating, flying and playing.
此句like後面都是接Ｖing
所以你不會 也不可以寫成
I like eating, flying and to play.
play 應該要ving
才符合 Parallel Structure
這不只適用在單詞上的排序
也適用在獨立子句 從屬子句 片語的排序
