此句後面的were 要怎麼解釋 因為前面動詞是過去式cried 理因來說小朋友們都認為應該
要用had been the end of the world 而
不是過去式 were the end of the world
以及下面這一句
The fortune-teller looked at me as if he were able to read my mind.
這一句也是假設語氣但前後時態卻一樣
雖然語感上知道後面要用were able to
不過小朋友們還是覺得前面過去 後面應該要過去完成 had been able
請問一下這種情況要怎麼解釋 嗚嗚
