[討論] 連接詞問題

 請問各位先進,

  以下這個句子讀起來怪怪的, 是不是須要更動呢?


   The German city of Hamburg has announced plans to become car-free withn the

   two decades. It is an ambitious idea, but city officials obviously feel

   that using a personal car is not better than walking, biking, or taking

   public transportation.


   我的問題是: 這段加入 "but" 這個連接詞, 是不是讀起來會有點怪怪的.

   如果把 but 改為 and 或 because 是不是會比較順一點呢?

推 watching    : 當然不會，前後語氣明顯立場不同
→ trtr112     : 請問w大, 可以說一下前後立場如何解釋這句嗎? 感恩!
→ watching    : it's an ambitious idea 暗示不認同/懷疑無汽車城
→ watching    : 市的這個idea, "但是"官員認為有很多種方式可以取代
→ watching    : 汽車, 連接詞當然不會是前後立場相同的and
→ trtr112     : 感恩！原來關鍵是在ambitious這個字。
