BELGRADE – Nikola Pekovic, a basketball player who plays for the Minnesota
Timberwolves, was elected the new president of the Partizan Basketball Club at
a special meeting of the club’s assembly on Tuesday.
Pekovic, who once played at the center position in Partizan, succeeded Predrag
Danilovic, who resigned two weeks ago.
One more former Partizan player, Miroslav Beric, was elected the
vice-president, and will manage the club while Pekovic is in the USA.
It is also expected that the head coach, Dusko Vujosevic, should soon be
replaced by his assistant Petar Bozic, Mondo news portal reported.
