前幾天發生在法國的恐攻事件

CNN新聞中一直提到neutralize這個字

標題"5 suspects neutralized"

查了一下還是不太理解是什麼意思

到底是嫌犯被捕了(captured)還是死了(dead)? 還是都有可能?

這個詞該怎麼翻才對呢?

另外，想請問這個是否通常用於軍事行動上？

問了英國友人 他說:They tend to use the word neutralize to mean the threat has
been stopped, so it can apply to being captured or killed.
偏向威脅解除的意思,不過中文不知怎麼翻比較洽當? 不曉得翻成"制服"對不對?
