: 看這回答顯然是否定了transfer的選項 因為我的贊助者(A校->B校)已經改變
: 雖然領域仍然相同，但我今天去問A校的國際學生諮詢
: 她竟然又說我應該要選用transfer，
: 因為我的現在的ds2019和J1效期都是到明年2016年6月才expired
: 所以若暑假拿新的DS2019要回台辦博士J1，
: 簽證官可能會以我仍持有效期超過六個月的J1,而拒發我新的J1
: 總之現在卡在B校建議我直接申請一張博士班新的J1，且說我舊J1簽證明年到期也沒影響
: 這也可AIT回覆比較相符 就是要reapply 重弄一個sevis number 重新繳錢跑面試
: 但A校叫我tranfer，還說我重辦的話會被拒簽 Q_Q
: 我比較傾向重辦一張 反正暑假都要回國 但就是concern現在的碩士J1要到明年6月才過期
: 怕被簽證官以A校提醒我的理由(六個月內簽證仍有效)拒發新博士J1簽證

J-1 簽證效期意義不大，你沒有有效 DS-2019 J-1就不能用。

: 被兩邊不一致的說法搞得忐忑不已...
: 另外前面cassine大和前面相關文章有點出的問題想進一步確認，
: (1)A校碩士班轉B校博士班transfer的難度高嗎？

J-1 student 轉 J-1 student 沒這麼麻煩。比較麻煩的是 J-1 Research Scholar
的轉換。

: (2)揪~~竟AIT提到的: in a different category and with a different J-1 sponsor
: 是要同時滿足兩個要件才要重簽呢？還是滿足一個就要重簽？

通常只要轉換類別就要重新申請簽證。

: 我的研究領域都是法律，只是碩士升博士，到底算different或same category?

都是 J-1 Student類別

: (3)我的case沒有兩年 residence rule的問題吧? XD

有的話簽證上面會註記 212(e)

推 shel: 多謝C大回覆!!再請問，雖然transfer應可行 但我選擇重辦一張
