哈波·李 前幾天去世了，在美國文壇算是不小的事情。
她一生著作非常少，1960年，出版《梅崗城故事》。
2015年，出版的第二本小說《設立守望者》（Go set a
watchman），還被證實是梅崗城故事的初稿。
可她賺了多少呢？根據法庭訴訟證據，她在2009年的
前6個月，就從梅崗城故事收入 $1,688,064.68.
你沒看錯，單位是美金！
難怪 Salinger 能那麼自在隱居......

She has only written one book. But, luckily for all concerned, it was the
right book. “To Kill A Mockingbird sells between 750,000 and 1m copies every
year. So how much money has this put into Harper Lee’s pockets? According to
legal papers filed against former book agent Sam Pinkus, in the first six
months of 2009 alone Harper Lee earned $1,688,064.68 in royalties. That’s
$9,249 per day”.
