Do you remember "Seeme Mobile Film Festival" - "SEE ME x MAFF (Monsoon Asia
Film Festival)" last year? A film concerning a Filipino cute boy.
The director Richard Legaspi will come here from Philippines! Director
Richard will carry another composition of a documentary "The Untiring Journey
of the Red Suitcase" (Tagalog language: Ang Walang Kapagurang Paglalakbay ng
Pulang Maleta; Italian: L'instancabile viaggio della valigia rossa) to meet
everybody in taiwan.
After director screening & discussions, a "Legal Aid Foundation" companion,
lawyer ZU-DE CHEN, will talk with. And, we could discuss with each other on
issues of migrant workers.

Introduction to "The Untiring Journey of the Red Suitcase":
Red Suitcase is the symbol of transnational migration, this documentary
describes love and life's journey of the Filipino migrant in Italy. Stories
began with a fortitudinous female Loreta Mercado, to touch with her and
families, friends, and the stories how hard working and how to overcome life
challenges, and pursue the dreams. And, all the labors stories join from one
community. Arranging alternately with the cultures of the two worlds, weaving
the social relationships tight of the Filipinos, Italians, and the Others.
And, the social structures that is built of the capital.

The director:
Richard Legaspi, the director of independent film, University of the East,
College of Fine Arts, Architecture and Design professor. After graduated from
Asian Film Academy in 2007, to begin with poetic films director of indie,
then continually nominated by film festivals and take excellent reputations.
His compositions put emphasis on raising consciousness, and create public
interactions and communications. Through the dialogue between contemporary
art and society, winning a 2013 UNESCO (The United Nations Educational,
Scientific and Cultural Organization) laureate of young artists, and become
the artist in residency at the University Delle Idee, Italy.
His compositions usually reflect the Flipino society. And, the films about
issues of displaced people or migrants were invited to 2015 Berlin
International Film Festival. Now, the short film "PIPO" and documentary "The
Untiring Journey of the Red Suitcase" (L'instancabile viaggio della valigia
rossa) is contending for the other film festivals.
