The Friends (1977) Laura Gilpin 1. The catalyst begins a reaction or a chain of reactions which may be endless, but after the first reaction the catalyst is of no importance. 2. The catalyst has provided the energy for a reaction to occur in which the element reacting has been changed. Although originally this element may have been inert and unable to react with other elements, because of this first initial reaction, the element has been changed and is now able to react and respond without the presence of a catalyst. 3. The catalyst, however, begins only the initial reaction. It then has no further effect on the element. Although the reaction affects the element, the catalyst itself remains unchanged. 4. The catalyst begins a reaction or a chain of reactions which may be endless, but after the first reaction the catalyst is of no importance. -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc), 來自: 114.36.39.46 (臺灣) ※ 文章網址: https://www.ptt.cc/bbs/poetry/M.1680431622.A.F8C.html
