[問題] 申請填表格疑問

大家好，

 最近申請某學校 ，一個線上系統問一個問題:
Please give the names, if any, and professional affiliations of individuals
most responsible for your decision to apply to the Graduate School of Arts
and Science. Your response should name (a) individuals from outside the
program who influenced your application decision and (b) faculty in the
program with whom you would like to work.

我有點看不懂它要我填什麼?

感覺 (b) 好像是要我填未來我想要跟的教授?

 但是我不太懂(a) 是問甚麼? (是誰 讓你決定要申請這個Program??)

希望有經驗的各位大大可以解惑
