[問題] 延後入學詢問信

最近收到了幾個 admission
但是我因為今年 10 月才退役
趕不上秋季班
想寄信去問問能不能延後入學(deferral)

目前我的草稿如下
想請問一下有沒有需要修改的

My name is xxx (Applicant ID: xxx). I was recently admitted to the xxx program at xxx university. I am really excited and can't wait to join.

However, due to the unexpected delay in the entrance of mandatory military service, I can't attend the university until October of this year. I would like to know whether I could request a deferral to the program or any other possible solutions to hold my place in the following class. I am happy to submit the form and deposit.
