標題[問題] ASU申請問題

大家好
本人目前在申請ASU的MSF program，essay question有兩篇其中一篇是optional，
optional essay的題目是這樣寫的:
"If you have completed your undergraduate degree in Finance from an
AACSB-accredited institution with a 3.0 cumulative GPA or higher, or earned a
3.25 GPA in a STEM program at a U. S. institution, please address why you
feel a GMAT waiver should be granted. Please provide any additional
information you would like to bring to the attention of the admissions
committee. (250 words or less)"
請問他的意思是要申請gmat waiver才需要寫這篇essay嗎?
