有個問題想要問問大家
the / This story / I've / heard / that / is / worst / ever (重組句子)
出題老師給的答案為
This story is the worst that I've ever heard.
疑惑如下
the worst 不是形容詞最高級嗎? 怎麼後面可以直接接形容詞子句?
形容詞子句的先行詞不是應該是名詞嗎?
詢問出題老師回應如下
the worst that I've ever heard 有省略 one
所以整句變為
the worst (one) that I've ever heard.
也就是說
句中的 the worst 有 < 形容最高級和代名詞功能>
因為 the + Adj 表示名詞 如 the young / the old / the sick
此外
出題老師也表示此種句型國中就學過
The elephant is the biggest(one) in the zoo.
John is the tallest (one) of all.
以上
不知道是小弟英文程度退化到只剩下國中程度
還是這是比較難的文法
