爸爸和我正在喊價，要買兩打紅綠色的塑膠碗。
賣主是個難纏的波蘭人，他立場堅定，
而爸爸對付這種固執的人，
就是用更高分貝喊出他要的價碼。
最後一招則是故作威脅狀在攤子前來回走來走去，
嚇得其他買主不敢上前，我早就在孟買就見識過他這個奇招。
但在盧米埃，卻有語言的小小障礙。
爸爸唯一會的外語是英文，
因此我得負責把他的胡說八道譯成我那只有學童程度的法文。
桌子對面的波蘭人一句英文也不會，只會一點點法文，
這保護他不受爸爸的正面威脅，因此我們陷入了僵局。
