A revolution is not legitimized by positive notion of what Man's essence--
"alienated" in present conditions, and to be realized through the revolutionary
process--is: the only legitimization of a revolution is negative,
a will to break with the Past.
It is in order to conceal the fact that there is nothing beyond that,
in a stricly perverse way,
the revolutionary has to cling to violence as the only index of his
authenticity.
