A true decision/choice is not a choice between a series of objects leaving my subjective position intact (the vulgar liberal notion of freedom of choice pertaining to superficial Americanized liberal individualism), but the fundamental choice by means of which I 'choose myself.' It presupposes that I assume a passive attitude of 'letting my self be chosen' --in short, free choice and Grace are strickly equivalent; we really choose when we are chosen. The notion of freedom entails this necessary paradox: the choice of 'freely assuming' one's imposed destiny which indicates the theological predestination and Grace. ──For They Know Not What They Do: Enjoyment as a Political Factor -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc), 來自: 49.159.79.182 (臺灣) ※ 文章網址: https://www.ptt.cc/bbs/wisdom/M.1635846016.A.C0B.html ※ 編輯: gregorsamsa (49.159.79.182 臺灣), 01/28/2022 22:35:58
