會不會是因為tax haven常被翻成租稅樂園(or天堂),因此給誤導了...
我也覺得haven翻樂園不是很適合.

關於大家的疑問
我在此一併做個解釋
首先，造成大家的誤會
很抱歉
但我要澄清幾件事
第一
我並不是打錯字，我就是要和大家分享 haven 這個字
第二
我也知道 heaven 是天堂、樂園的意思
至於我將 haven 翻成「樂園」是有我的原因的
當然這樣的翻法也許並不恰當
很感謝 pierse 幫我做的更正^^
這個字我以前看過
不過後來忘了它的意思，看到 hahahuhu 的解釋，我想起來了
po 出此字的原因是因為昨天我的 e-mail
AHEAD OF TIME (TIME 的下期雜誌先睹為快 e-mail) 裡頭
講到 cover story 戒菸專題報導裡的前言
Asia has long been a haven for cigarette addicts, but the anti-smoking
movement is starting to achieve what once seemed unimaginable...
我看了很自然的覺得那是「樂園」的意思
之後我查了 NB 裡的 Macmillan dictionary
它是這樣寫的
haven:
a place where people or animals can feel safe and happy:
haven for: The park has become a haven for local wildlife.
它沒有提到港口和避難所的意思！(儘管我以前背過！)
所以我又很自然地 reaffirm 自己的翻譯
就 po 上去了
所以造成大家困擾
實在很抱歉
後來查 dictionary.com 就發現
haven:
A harbor or anchorage; a port.
A place of refuge or rest; a sanctuary.
所以我覺得我沒有多 cross-consult 不同的字典是我的不對
謝謝大家的指教
但我應該是沒有笨到把 haven 當作 heaven 或 haven 拼成 heaven 啦^^
最後再補充一下
版標不是取材自什麼單字的書
而是從我小腦袋瓜裡隨意 po 出的
雖然隨意，但絕不隨便
