請問celibatarian 這個字可以翻成”單身主義者”嗎？

個人意見是不行
according to Longman's dictionary
celibatae =(adj) not married and not having sex, especially becasue of
your religious beliefs
所以 celibatarian 應是指不結婚也沒有性行為者
出家人?

應該是提倡,主張 沒有(婚前)性行為 主要是因為宗教的緣故
celibatarian
n. & a. (person) advocating celibacy
對吧?
