請問leverage是什麼意思?
字典只說是槓桿作用，不過我不知道要怎麼用。
如果是名詞還可理解，若是動詞時要怎麼用呢?

提供我在New York Times看到的用法：
It puts you in a position to leverage yourself.
我覺得這句可以簡單地翻成"(這件事)讓你提升了自己"
不過我不知道leverage能不能用在負面的影響
請高手指教
