這個字的由來是因為從前唱片要翻面，因此就創出這個字。
除了以上的解釋之外，我再補充幾點：
1)某事的反面。
2)當環境改變時，也可以用這個字來形容。
3)也可指明天。例：I'll see you on the flipside .
但這個字，不是很主流，正統英文不太用的。
