因為fruit這個名詞是不可數，所以不能用There is a fruit on the table.
來表示有一顆水果在桌上，只有2種情形才可以用There is a fruit on the table.
1 當說話者無法看見桌上的水果，只能用觸覺或嗅覺等來分辨桌上似乎有一顆
水果，但又無法確切知道是哪種的水果，這時強調的是某種水果
2 桌上有1位男同性戀者(因為人是可數的)，但fruit這個詞不是那麼positive，
所以請千萬小心使用
我們的老師是這麼說的：當寫一個句子時，一定要注意所使用的名詞是可數，
還是不可數，或許就中文的理解上，這個句子並沒有錯
但在Native Speaker看來，There is a fruit on the table.決不會是一顆水果在桌上。
There is a piece of fruit on the table.才是正確的說法
希望有釐清大家不小心會犯的錯誤^_^
