請教各位，今天使用google時發現一句英文如下：

Describe two of the environmental problems facing the world today.

為何是用 problems facing the world，而不是 problems the world facing？

（不是應該寫作我們世界面對的問題嗎？）

查了一下還有很多例句都是這樣

例如：The environmental problems facing our society……

請各位幫忙解答是哪裡的文法理解上出了錯，謝謝。
